today.. i almost fainted..
cos i saw my blood filling up this tube!
tube was about the size of my finger.. considered humongous for me..
hehe.. it's for a test for Hep B..
but it is so gross..
and the needle used to poke under my skin was 2-pronged,
like a little fork..
*shivers*
well.. at least it helped me realise i dislike needles!!
and blood!(if there're lots of it)
anyway, had to do this health test cos i may be going to Nanyang Poly(NYP) to pursue a Physiotherapy course..
have been offered this!
ok i bet all of u are tinking, "why are u backtracking and wasting ur time going to poly?"
that's the initial reaction.
and to say the truth im also afraid im backtracking!
that's why im at a dilemma now.
but this course is only open to A level cert holders..
it's a 3 yrs course at NYP and a last yr at either SIM or an overseas uni for degree conversion.
YAY! the last yr in Australia(probably) sounds so appealing. but it's gonna be so expensive, %##^!
compared to local uni certs, overseas cert oso not as widely recognised..
sigh~ oh, should i go UNI or POLY?
dilemma dilemma!
X_X
some pros of Physiotherapy:
1) can interact with patients and help them. which i like! and dun have to deal with blood and dead bodies like in nursing.
2) course structure seems interesting. and can apply in real life. learning about cardiopulmonary, muscle-skeletal and stuff.. and also what positions for injuries in certain places etc.. ^^
3) dun have to have an office job facing four walls and a comp all the time..
4) will probably always have a job.. cos it's a healthcare job.
5) i can perform physio on myself! hahahah~~~ and on my loved ones of cos! =D
6) i have frens who got into the course with me! like yanling! and wanwei got offered radiography too! cool! imagine us going to school tgt.. studying tgt.. going overseas tgt.. going for attachment tgt.. working tgt in future.. YAY!
some cons of Physiotherapy:
1) very specialised and small field in singapore. :( how far can i go? prob can only dabble in physio if i do physio. meaning if i end up hating job i have low chance of going into another field.
and the field for physiotherapy is quite small.. meaning that if i were to commit any mistake.. will sread all over singapore.
2)pay not very high.. diploma holder is like 1.6k - 1.8k . degree is 2k - 2.4k. info from singhealth. sob! but mayb if i go private sector will be higher? i hope.. :( or i have to be really pro in it n famous for physiotherapy to be rich! then every1 wll be paying me
i tink i need a rich husband to yang me! hahaha. oh man. i sound like a jellyfish. no backbone, mei gu qi! *slaps myself hard*
3) secalee i cant raise enough money to go overseas or study locally for the last year. that means i'll be stuck with just a diploma. which will be &#$*&! ahhh!
4) and the saddest.. no uni life. so sad!!!!!! :( :( :(
ok..
i guess all in all it'smy own choice..
gotta tink hard.. STRESS!
anyways thx to ppl who gave me advice..
esp my family..
hehe and justin kor kor if u're reading this.. thanks!
u helped to tink abt it more in-depth..
:D
ahh~ DILEMMA DILEMMA~
uni or poly?
dear god..
pls guide me to the decision which would suit me most..
and pls bless every1 around me~ and the rest of the world.
pls let there be world peace..
i also pray that my daddy is happy and that all the people i know who are in icu will be safe and healthy again..
amen..
P.S i am such a NOOB cos i feel weak all over! must be a pychological effect cos i saw my own blood being drawn out.. alr slept the whole afternoon! what is wrong with me! i am sooo lethargic grrrr!
